O'ermorrow
Once a respected peer at the Academy and now forsaken and very... undead, Shavil enlists his little mage’s assistance in recording his forbidden research, unaware that something far more important is at stake.
'O'ermorrow' is a dark-fantasy romance with two endings. Version 1.0 of the game was made within 10 days for the O2A2 VN Jam 2024, a micro Visual Novel jam with strict asset limitations and a 1000-word limit. Version 1.1 thank-you update was completed within an additional 3 weeks. (patch notes in a devlog below!)
Please note that the game contains suggestive themes, mild depictions of violence, and death.
** While a web version is available, I'd recommend downloading the files for the best experience as the web version tends to miss audio cues, pixelate images and mess up transitions. **

- Download the zip file based on your operating system.
- Double click the downloaded zip file to open it up.
- Right click and select Extract All.
- Choose an installation location of your choice, then run the game (the 'exe') from the folder you extracted it to. (The file should no longer have a 'zip' next to it!)

This is so peak, both the writing, artstyle and overall ambience.
I love the overall vibe to it, especially the artstyle! its so enticing in a way.. I also wished that i could dive deeper into the lore, but from the limited 1k words i have a picture of Mc's and Shavil's dynamic plus the necromance in their world --- surely they have a full on deep history and im all ears
The voice acting, and his personality is just perfect hes so cute T_T despite the very short experience, the eerie setting is so good <33
Wonderful little game! The art is beautiful and I love the design of the love interest, Shavil. The voice acting was fantastic, too. I was also captivated by the little bits of story - a shame it wasn't longer, but it was for O2A2, so fair enough. Really lovely work! :)
The art style looks so edible...
This was so curious, I have to say I love the character design of Shavil, looks appropriately undead to me. I also love how we get to see glimpses of the character history between MC and their master. Throughout it, I like that there was a stark difference between the two endings. How MC was resigned and that Shavil realized he couldn't force MC to continue living (also probably due to his own feelings) or how MC was their playful determined self that inspired Shavil to continue on despite the curse MC found themselves in. I like how he's still protective over his apprentice mage. Great work done here!

Shavil's somewhat dry personality was charming as hell (even in the bad end) and the little bit of story we got was really cool. It would be cool if you ever expanded upon it, but I think O'ermorrow also works as a standalone story.
Also, Shavil's design is absolutely gorgeous (and so is the BG), and the voice acting was excellent!

While very restricted by the confines of the game jam it was created for, it does have good voice acting and absolutely gorgeous art and it hints at an interesting world setting. I would love to see something that builds off of this because it is a very promising amuse-bouche.

This is so good, I want more so bad!! The atmosphere in the game is impeccable and the art is fantastic as always.
GRRRRR I LIVE FOR PINING.. .yes yearn MORE!!! aaaah im so in love with the art style and the colour palette !! i had to sit and stare when shavil first appeared because wooowww character design (he's so pretty.. . . ooogh details) .. . . wooow bg music... bg art...(felt straight out of a storybook!!) and then he started TALKING.... ok brain rot over.
on a more serious note, everything was so well done !! i got so into the dynamic between the mc and shavil + despite how short it was, it was so easy to immerse yourself in the world !! i really enjoyed replaying to reread (magic!! necromancy!!! tell me more!!!) and try out different choices :0 would love to see where this story goes if you ever decide to expand on it !!

"Necromancer who dies to better understand the art" is such an awesome character concept. This was a really beautiful read! Absolutely adored the triple combo of art + music + UI and how they build an almost magical atmosphere in this work. You guys did an awesome job!!!!

I really got into the story, and I was impressed by how fast it managed to explain, somehow, how necromancy works in this world, to give us a glimpse of the dynamic between MC and Shavil (and how complicated it is considering the striking difference between the two endings), and the stakes of it all! The art too was absolutely gorgeous, both the BG and the SPRITE HOLY MOLLY!! Finally, I have to say, the voice acting was amazing!!
