it's been a couple of days since i played this and i'm STILL thinking about this entry AUGGHH. everything about it stood out sm to me from the beautiful art to the premise, and for all of it to be done within the limitations of o2a2 UGGGHHHHHGHGHGH. this will probably be one of my top VNs i played this year and definitely looking forward to future works!! <3

If you want to add more life to a scene like this in the future, I recommend trying out Ren'Py's SnowBlossom particle effect. It's easy to use and modify and works great for fireflies, flying embers, rain and what have you...

I've actually looked into the particle effect, but I worried that trying it for the first time at the last minute might cause issues, as my initial attempts usually go. It would have definitely made the scene that much more magical!

The sprite is absolutely GORGEOUS and this background has been living rent-free in my mind since I first played it. Like it's moody and gorgeous and REALLY nails the creepy magical graveyard vibes.
I also have a soft spot for silly quasi-evil-but-not-really warlocks with a penchant for reducing, reusing and reanimating 😂 The 'browsing the catalogue' line had me chuckling to myself so hard.
Also the logo and the textbox are just so wispy and perfect, the vibes for all of this are just immaculate. Loved it, attempted every choice and it was so cool to get so much branching in such a short game. Kudos, you did phenomenal!
(Edit: As for the pixelation on web, there's a file called "progressive-download.txt) where you can add a line to pre-load the images so there's no wonkiness while playing. Same for voice lines to ensure audio cues are on point, but depending on the size of those it might be a stretch.)

I loved this game so much! The art was gorgeous and premise of the story was so enthralling!
I was amazed as soon as I opened the game because I'm such a huge sucker for forests, greenery and glowing elements! I really loved how even in such a small amount of words you hinted so well at the overarching lore in the universe and established the scene. There wasn't a point in time where I was confused or lost despite the word count! I was immediately drawn in, included and felt the atmosphere of the game and story.
Love love love Shavil too! The design for them absolutely popped off. Sending so much love to the team, thank you for letting me experience something so wonderful.

CRIPTICCC THIS IS SO POLISHED AND WELL-DONE WAAA!! The background and art are so so stunning and sets the story’s tone really well! I loved the banter/exchange between them, and the world-building has me intrigued! I’d love to see more of them or anything set in this universe really lol. Amazingly well done! :DD
